These terms are the agreement between you and Forge Nine Labs LLC ("Forge Nine," "we," "us") when you use this website or any of our works. Each work also carries its own terms, which sit closer to the thing itself and control where the two differ. We have kept this short, because a document you will not read protects nobody.
They cover forgeninelabs.com and every work we publish, together "the Services." By using a Service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.
Where a work publishes its own terms, those govern that work's specifics — how it behaves, what it records, what it promises. These terms govern everything else, and they fill any gap the product terms leave.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and old enough to use whatever platform the work runs on — 13 for Discord, or older where local law requires it. If a work is directed at a household rather than an individual, the adult who sets it up is the one agreeing to these terms.
Use the Services for what they are for. Do not use them to break the law, to harass anyone, to infringe someone's rights, or to violate the rules of the platform you are using them on. Do not attempt to defeat their access controls, scrape them at machine scale, resell them, or present them as your own.
We may suspend or end access — for a person, a household, or a whole server — when a Service is being used that way. We would rather write to you first, and usually will.
Some Services offer paid features. Where they do, the platform is the merchant: purchases inside a Discord app are processed by Discord, and purchases inside an iOS app are processed by Apple. We never see your card number, and we do not store payment details, because they never reach us.
If a Service is discontinued while you hold a live subscription to it, we will stop billing and say so plainly. See § VI.
What you write, say, or upload into a Service remains yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to run the thing for you — to store, process, and display your content in the ordinary operation of the Service, including where the Service exists to publish a result back to you and the people you are using it with.
The scope of that licence is set by the work's own terms and privacy policy, which describe exactly what each one records and for how long. Read those; they are the specific promises.
We do not promise the Services will be available without interruption. Things break, dependencies fail, and maintenance happens. We may add features, remove features, or discontinue a work entirely.
If we discontinue a paid work, we will stop charging for it, give reasonable notice where we can, and refund any period billed but not delivered. If we discontinue a free one, we will still tell you.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Where a work produces automated or AI-generated output, that output is entertainment or convenience — never advice, never a finding of fact, and never something to rely on. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forge Nine Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, nor for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Services.
Our total liability for any claim relating to a Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for that Service in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty United States dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Illinois have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you and we each consent to that venue — except that either of us may bring a claim in small claims court where it qualifies, which for most disagreements is the sensible forum anyway.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose law grants you rights that cannot be waived by contract — including in the EU, the UK, and several US states — you keep those rights, and nothing above takes them away.
We may amend these terms. The current version is always posted here with its effective date, and the prior version stays available in this site's public source history. If a change is material, we will say so where you are likely to see it. Continuing to use a Service after a change takes effect is acceptance of it.
Support, legal notices, press, and complaints all reach the same address, and a human replies.
